Bewernitz/Goldowski have been working as an artist duo since 2000 and they both studied at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne.
Their work shows broadly set up artistic procedure between audiovisual installations, spatial compositions, sound performance and audio production a remarkable spectrum of artistic work with sound.

Their works have been exhibited domestically and internationally in places such as the Chelsea Art Museum New York, at the 798 Art Festival Beijing, the ISEA Singapore 2008, Siggraph Asia 2009 Yokohama, ICMC Ljubljiana, ZKM Karlsruhe and Akademie der Künste Berlin, UC Santa Barbara and CCRMA Stanford.

They have received numerous scholarships and grants, such as the BS-Projects sound art scholarship from the state of Lower-Saxony, a scholarship from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and a grant from the Kunststiftung NRW. In 2007 they finished a 6-month artist residency at Location One in New York and in 2010 they were awarded with a production residency by HIAP in Finland.

Both are teaching in the field of audio visual media, at the art academy in
Münster, at the University Niederrhein, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, UDK Berlin and Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM).
